Edith Machinist, in my mind, is the most beautiful and meticulously curated vintage boutique in New York. You walk in and want to immediately purchase everything. Unfortunately for you (and fortunately for the store), you can’t. It’s too pricey. Thus, the place isn’t emptied out daily, and continues to look like photo spread from the 60’s. Among other things, it has an unbelievable selection of bags, including leather rucksacks, and magazine clutches. Go anytime - meaning during its no-working-person-can-go-there hours (but tourists totally can).
