Givaat HaAlyah beach is located in the heart of Jaffa, just a minute before these beach strands become Bat Yam. A few years ago the whole place was completely abandoned, but with the development of Jaffa, and the lovely reconstruction of Jaffa, the beach became more accessible, luxurious beach restaurants appeared, and there are also nice rentable beach chairs. The beach located at the feet of the Peres peace center, one of the most beautiful architectural buildings in town, and the beach is also very quiet and secluded, so even on weekends you can find a quiet corner where you can spread your towel. They also have lifeguards there. You can only get to Givaat HaAlyah beach if you make a special effort, so if you do go there, make sure you bring whatever you need for a long day. Find yourself a nice corner, bring a good book and give yourselves away to the sun. When you get hungry just walk a few feet to one of the nearby old fish restaurants HaZaken Ve HaYam or Fortuna. The lines are always long, but they advance pretty fast. Don’t let the waiters' impatience get to you – the fish are most fresh and wonderful, but you'll probably get full by the mazets, salads, warm laffas and the falafel that will be served before.
