The old Yemenite Quarter by the Carmel Market has so many good bars and restaurants hidden in its alleys. Everyone who comes to Tel Aviv must walk through this neighborhood during the day. There’s something in the air there that’s good for humans. I would recommend grabbing a bite at Erez, an affordable authentic Israeli-Yemenite restaurant. Or, get some hummus at Shlomo and Doron. Get some coffee on Malan St. at a place called Les. On 43 Malan St there’s a pop-up space called HaHalal (space) where they host restaurants, exhibitions, artists and live shows. It’s worth a visit.
