A visit to the Monastery of São Bento is good for those who want to take care of the soul, even for those who are not religious, like me. I indicate to pay a visit on a Sunday morning, because the mass celebrated at 10 o'clock is accompanied by a Gregorian choir and by musical performance on the pipe organ. The first building of the monastery was built in 1600, and the current construction is from 1912. On leaving the mass, be sure to stop at the monastery's bakery, which sells breads and cakes made by the monks.
