Ideal for a morning activity, Mount Lycabettus is best 'climbed' via a small train (the 'teleferique') through the rock, which leads directly to the cafeteria level (if you drive up, you have to leave the car/taxi at the amphitheater level and walk some hundred steps). One terrace above, stands the Chapel of St. George which offers a stunning panoramic view of Athens all the way to the first islands at the south. Walking down through the forest is truly worth it!
Accessed best by car/taxi to the 'teleferique''s basis.
