There are quite a number of trails to explore whether you wish to go for a long hike, a run or just a stroll in the beauty of nature. There are also nice streams and little water spots to cool off. Newlands forest is frequently by locals so there will always be someones around to advise you. There are parking spaces as well as a picnicking area for Braaiing (Barbequing). If you are going on a long hike, make sure to go with friends and tell others where you will be, just to be safe.
