An official NYC landmark, considered by some to be the intellectual and research epicenter of Harlem. The Schomburg Center boasts original works from Ralph Bunche, Malcolm X, and Maya Angelou among many others. Every week, multiple Q&A sessions and social gatherings are organized for the community. In the past year, Schomburg has welcomed Bobby Seale, Shaun King, Michael Eric Dyson, Rokhaya Diallo, and many others. They also organize social functions including the occasional 90s R&B, disco throwback, or Bad Boy Records party in their First Friday series where you can let loose during a typical happy hour time on the first Friday of the month.
