Tel Aviv University is located on a hill. The back end of it is on a cliff that rises over Ayalon highway. Just by the edge of that cliff there is a esplanade and a few benches that will give you a unique and fantastic view of Tel Aviv. From there you can see the entire Skyline of the diamond exchange district (the “Bursa”), with all its sky scrapers, the neighborhoods of Ramat-Gan and Bnei- Brack, stacked closely on hills, the Yarkon Park. On a day with good weather - you can see the Jerusalem mountains.
I like going there at night, to see all of the lights blinking: from the highway beneath to the huge office buildings and the small houses behind the park. I usually bring a drink and just look at the city at night, wondering what stories are behind every window.
