The plaza represents all the three powers of the government: Legislative, Executive and Judiciary. Apart of the surrounding buildings of the three powers, there are three other monuments and two statues. The monuments are homages to the founders, the heroes and the soldiers who fought for Brazil (the never ending fire). The statues are homages to the people who build Brasília (known as "candangos") and the justice. Close by the square is one of the biggest national flags in the world. Besides that, the plaza has two other places, on the underground: a touristic information center and a mockup of the city.
